AKASH P VIJAYAN / MARKETING, OPERATIONS & BUILDING

A curious mind.
Many chapters.

From social work in Kerala to a production floor in the UK. Now, marketing and systems built with AI.
I’ve carried a little of each chapter into the next.

A LITTLE CONTEXT

The path changed.
The curiosity stayed.

My career has crossed classrooms, communities, production lines, and marketing dashboards.

That might look like a series of switches. For me, each move added another way to see the same thing: how people and processes shape the result.

01 / THE JOURNEY

Nothing
wasted.

A different setting.
Something new to carry forward.

The details are there
when you want to go deeper.

2014–201901 / LISTEN.

Before systems, people.

English literature · Medical & psychiatric social work

I began with words, then moved closer to the people behind them. English literature gave me a way to work with ideas. Social work took that learning into hospitals, rehabilitation, and community settings.

CARRIED FORWARD

Understand the person behind the problem.

Inside this chapter

BA English Literature, Mahatma Gandhi University (2014–2017). MSW, University of Calicut (2017–2019). Field experience included BOSCO, Aster MIMS, and IQRAA.

Language / Context / Care
2019–202002 / EXPLAIN.

Make the idea land.

HR Coordinator & Trainer · MPOWER ASCERT

The next challenge was a room full of people. I scheduled and delivered training, tracked progress, and worked with students and educators. An idea only helped if someone could use it.

CARRIED FORWARD

Communication is a practical skill.

Inside this chapter

Training spanned spoken English, personal development, and skills workshops. Alongside delivery, I supported counselling, mentoring, and the coordination that kept sessions running.

2020–202103 / ORGANISE.

A programme bigger than one room.

Project Manager · Government of Kerala

Disaster-management training brought a different scale: government bodies, local organisations, venues, schedules, and volunteers. My work was to help those moving parts come together.

50,000+

volunteers reached by the programmeDelivered with government and local partners across Kerala.

CARRIED FORWARD

Coordination turns a plan into something people can use.

Inside this chapter

I coordinated training delivery and event logistics with local bodies, schools, colleges, NGOs, and volunteer organisations. The programme reached over 50,000 volunteers across Kerala. In 2021, I also volunteered with CHILDLINE, responding to cases and supporting outreach.

New country. Wider lens.

MSc Supply Chain Management & Logistics · Coventry University

I moved to the UK and studied the systems behind the work. Supply chains added a new set of questions: where does a process slow down, what information is missing, and how do the parts fit together?

CARRIED FORWARD

Look beyond the task to the system around it.

Inside this chapter

My dissertation explored IoT in pharmaceutical warehouse management. I completed the MSc alongside the start of my UK operations experience, and hold a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice.

2022–202505 / LEAD.

Learn the floor. Then lead on it.

Quality control & operational support · HelloFresh

I moved through production, replenishment, auditing, and team leadership in Nuneaton. Quality became something very concrete: the checks people made, the issues they raised, and what happened next.

CARRIED FORWARD

A good process has to work on a busy shift.

Inside this chapter

My responsibilities included supervising 20 auditors, coordinating operational support, handling quality escalations, and working with Grafana and Matflo. The experience connected food safety, traceability, and team decisions in a live operation.

Marketing Lead · Meals Now | Independent content work

Back in India, I took those habits into marketing. At Meals Now, I moved from a part-time marketing role in 2025 to Marketing Lead in 2026. The questions changed; the need for clear thinking did not.

CARRIED FORWARD

Make the message, measurement, and operation agree.

Inside this chapter

My work spans recruitment reporting, market geography, content, email, and website direction. Alongside this, GetW9 content and creative work for author Jay W. Morgan bring a different kind of storytelling into the mix.

ONGOING07 / BUILD.

Keep a workshop open.

AI-assisted systems · Personal experiments

Now I can turn a recurring frustration into something I can test. I use AI to help build, analyse, and draft—then spend my attention on the rules, the edge cases, and whether the result is useful.

CARRIED FORWARD

Make something useful. Question it. Improve it.

Inside this chapter

Current explorations include portfolio intelligence and content workflows with human review. These remain works in progress. I define the problem and direct the work; AI contributes to implementation and production.

02 / SELECTED WORK

Here’s where
it comes together.

Four problems. The decisions behind them.
And what I carried into the next one.

03 / THE WAY I WORK

Start with
“what’s really
going on?”

A confusing report. A message that misses. A process held together by workarounds.

That’s usually where I start. I like getting close enough to the problem to see what needs to change—and then making something people can actually use.

01

Get close to the work.

Ask the people doing it. Follow the information. Understand the awkward parts before proposing a fix.

02

Make the rules clear.

What counts as a lead? Where does a market end? Who reviews the content? Small definitions shape big decisions.

03

Use AI. Keep responsibility.

AI helps me analyse, draft, and build. I define the problem, direct the work, and review the result.

04 / THE OPEN WORKSHOP

Still asking
“what if?”

Some ideas deserve a prototype.
Others need another round of questions.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Can a portfolio explain itself?

A personal portfolio-intelligence project exploring investment data, research workflows, and automated reporting. Still being built and verified.

CREATIVE WORK

Let a book travel further.

Social content, promotional creative, and website concepts for author Jay W. Morgan—finding new ways to carry ideas beyond the page.

EXPERIMENT

Less chasing. More creating.

Content-workflow experiments that connect a brief, research, drafting, and human review. The goal: a repeatable process with clear responsibility.
